Family, Friends, Foodplots, Velvet, & Trail Cams:
Well the days keep getting busier and busier building up to October 1st here
in Illinois. Josh and Myself (along with a little help from my Dad) are
wrapping up the remaining food plots this week. Right now we've got about
ten plots ranging from a quarter acre to 5 acres full of Antler King seed.
Josh and I have continually been rotating on checking cameras, and the
cuddebacks have been on fire. With the exception of one Buck, the majority
of the Deer we had pics and history with last year have seemed to comeback
to the farm after the spring backwater fell out. That was good news to us.
Tonight was a success as well out filming velvet, Josh watched one of our
fields last night and saw an old deer we call Snaggletooth come out, so I
went back this evening with the camera and sure enough he showed up, along
with a couple of good upcomers. I've got another field to go watch later
this week when the winds get right, for a couple of other deer we know
pretty well. Anyhow thats all for now. Hope everyone else is having a good
time and looking forward to season as much as me. Jake Stocke
